Sonny Alven

Norwegian producer/artist Sonny Alven burst onto the dance music scene in 2015 with his phenomenal breakthrough single ‘Our Youth,’ which has amassed over 32 million streams on Spotify, secured 4 successive weeks at #2 in the official Norwegian radio charts and earned a coveted “Norwegian Grammy” (Spellemannprisen) nomination. His follow up records ‘California Girls’ and the ‘Girls EP’ have cemented his reputation as one of the most exciting new producers in the dance world, and currently have more than 18 million Spotify streams between them (with ‘California Girls’ also reaching no.1 on Hype Machine).

His musical creations have received major success in and out of the studio, allowing Sonny to remix tracks for high-profile artists such as Alesso, Tove Lo and Astrid S, to critical acclaim.

Sonny’s latest release saw him teaming up with the platinum-selling Canadian act Dragonette for his new single ‘Awake’. A confident display of his ability to produce a track that mixes pop and electronic sensibilities, ‘Awake’ feels like the anthem to Sonny’s summer ahead and he is already booked to play shows and festivals across his homeland for thousands of dedicated fans for the upcoming months.

His streaming stats are impressive; in 2016 alone, 6.5 million Spotify listeners streamed 213 year’s worth of his music!

On the road, the dance superstar Kygo enlisted Sonny to support him on the European leg of his world tour, which saw Sonny perform sold-out shows at London’s Brixton Academy and across the continent.

Sonny’s European success hasn't gone unnoticed across the Atlantic; Sonny was in fact recently invited to play at the Splash House festival in Palm Springs and a few other key shows in the US, including supporting Galantis in New York, Matt Zo in Washington and Jerry Folk in San Diego, whilst also playing the Voodoo Festival in New Orleans last Autumn.

A skilled DJ, Sonny also enjoys playing with live artists to take his shows to the next level, as demonstrated in front of thousands of people at last summer BergenFest and Cloud9 Festival.
